Heiko Bittmann
Pseudonym Thomas Maier
- Born 1964 in Stuttgart, Germany
- Heiko Bittmann has been living in Japan for over 14 years and is an
associate professor at the University of Kanazawa. In the field of
Japanese Studies and Sports Science he is researching martial arts, and
as part of his work he gives seminars and courses about Japanese
martial arts to both foreign and Japanese students. Besides Karatedô,
which he has been practicing for more than 25 years, he practices Iaidô
and Jôdô
